BYO Cans Dublin

Let it be known to all that we love a good can!  And with a growing number of craft breweries we’re spoiled for choice.  Our newly found sophisticated palates want to enjoy our favourite brews, and not just at home!  To meet the demand of the discerning, and not so discerning, can drinker, these restaurants have a BYOC (Bring Your Own Can) policy.    We’ve compiled a list of our top three favourite can-drinking, and eating, spots:

The Little Kitchen |129 Leeson St Uppr, Dublin 4| thelittlekitchen.ie | 01 6697844

Small in size but certainly not in flavour.  The Little Kitchen offers brunch, lunch and dinner with ingredients sourced from the very best Irish providers in a hospitable and informal setting.

Despite having a thoughtful wine list they also allow customers to bring their own wine (€5 for corkage) and cans (€1 per can).   You can digest your food in peace knowing that every bottle and can is recycled.

For eating, drinking, and recycling, The Little Kitchen have you covered.

Dada|45 South William St, Dublin 2 |www.dadarestaurant.ie|01 617 0777

One moment you’re in the thriving streets of Dublin city centre, but pass through the doors of Dada and you’re transported to Northern Africa.  The sounds, the scents, and the surroundings are a far cry from the normal hustle and bustle of South William St.

The Moorish inspired food is influenced by the flavours of Northern Africa and Southern Spain and are perfectly accompanied when you bring along your favourite can for the journey.

If the enticing aroma doesn’t draw you through the doors perhaps the knowledge that Dada is a can-friendly zone, with every single can being recycled with the Every Can Counts programme, will do the job!

Gallagher & Co Bistro & Coffee House|www.gallagherbistro.com|01 677 0499

This city gem is in the centre of it all.  Mere moments from the cobble stones of Trinity College and you can be ensconced in the historic D’Olier Chambers which houses Gallagher & Co Bistro & Coffee House.

A firm favourite among scholars and staff alike, we’ve recently just learnt of its charms.  The restaurant offers some popular classics such as burgers and steaks but shout out to our veggie friends, there’s an entire vegetarian menu.

Added to its already plentiful charms Gallagher and Co is BYO Cans, allowing customers to bring their favourite canned drinks for €1.20 per can.

Besides bringing a big bag of cans don’t forget to bring your camera, the building is truly spectacular.  Built in 1891, it’s truly the most beautiful and historic venue to enjoy your cans.

Cheers everyone!
